As an Embedded Systems Engineer at Seaward, your primary responsibility is to ensure robust code is developed for our electrical testing equipment. You will be part of a team of experienced engineers creating firmware solutions to support our range of new, market leading products. You will be exposed to the full product lifecycle and be a part of developing Seaward’s best practices and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity for a Firmware or Software Engineer that wants to be a significant part in new product development that will drive Seaward’s growth ambitions.
Support the firmware development for Seaward’s range of NPD projects using C, C++, Python.
Plan and execute firmware verification activities.
Conduct analysis and feasibility studies for the design, development, and implementation of firmware and algorithms for NPD projects.
Participate in product architecture discussions and implement the agreed designs.
Develop and document best practices under the guidance of the Embedded Systems Team Lead.
Where required, support legacy product code debugging and feature updates.
Participate in continuous personal development and improvements to your skill set.
Proven experience of developing firmware in a fast-paced technical company.
2-3 Years of C, C++ and Python.
Yocto.
Azure Dev Ops CI & CD.
RTOS.
LVGL/QT/ Embedded Wizard.
FPGA.
Simulink & MatLab.
CAN Bus.
A good understanding of electronics.
Team Player and enthusiastic about continuous personal development.
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline or related field.
