A leader in electrical safety testing technology has announced a new appointment as it continues to expand its global footprint.
Bringing a wealth of experience from a diverse engineering and business development background, Richard Bennett joins Seaward, headquartered in Peterlee, to drive forward the company's product lines and support its international presence.
In his role as category manager, Bennett will oversee key product categories including PAT testing, multifunction testing, and high voltage equipment. A key aspect of his role involves aligning products with global market requirements and spearheading new market development initiatives.

Bennett joins Seaward after a distinguished 12-year career in the Royal Air Force, where he served as a weapons engineer. Holding a degree in mechanical engineering, Bennett's experience includes working with various organisations, including the UK and US militaries, specialising in bomb disposal, ejection seats, and aircraft safety.
Following his time in the Air Force, he moved into engineering equipment services, focusing on business development and the commercialisation of products and services. Most recently, Bennett held the position of group category lead in furniture distribution, where he honed his skills in building and developing product portfolios and launching products globally.

With headcount at approximately 205, Seaward supports a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, manufacturing, renewable energy and public utilities, providing innovative solutions to meet complex safety testing requirements.
