Can you test 110V appliances?
If you are using a standard Seaward 230V 3 pin to 110V adaptor then you can only perform the Earth Continuity and Insulation tests (on class 1 equipment) or Insulation tests (on class 2 equipment).
Note 1: The live and neutral are wired together within the plug to prevent the adaptor being used to power 110v equipment with a 240v supply.
Note 2: The only test that the adaptor will not allow is the polarity test. This however is covered by the visual test as there are no moulded plugs for 110V.
