Rigel Medical’s new safety testing seminar has been given top marks by delegates who attended the first one at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital
Everyone at the event, which covered the practical and theoretical approaches to electrical safety testing according to IEC 60601 and IEC 62353, said they would be recommending it to industry colleagues.
Moreover, while many delegates (87%) were aware of the standard only a quarter of these said they were testing to it. However, following the seminar, more than 80% were now considering testing to IEC 62353 moving forward?
Malcolm Larby, Patient Monitoring Technical Support at Draeger Medical U.K. Limited reflected the feelings of many when he said: "I had thought of the impending introduction of IEC 62353 as another piece of unnecessary bureaucracy.
“However, I see that it has been designed with practical testing in mind and that, once established and understood, will reduce the time and effort required in performing and analysing safety tests."
To find out what benefits the IEC 62353 could hold to your organisation or to suggest possible further venues for this seminar, we invite all interested people to pre-register for future events.
